Slate Pokémon Cards

Some of the Pokémon TCG's most talented artists have produced memorable slate card art. Mitsuhiro Arita, Nisota Niso and Saboteri are among the most represented illustrators in this collection of 50 cards. Their work spans from 2001 to 2026.

The most frequently featured Pokémon include Gastly, Murkrow and Pangoro. Cards from Obsidian Flames, Journey Together and Ascended Heroes make up the strongest showing.

Common visual elements across these slate cards include trash, street, motion lines, starry effect and spreading. Each card is scored by how prominently slate appears in the artwork, using color space analysis of the card image.
